Adela Consferent is 22 years old and is one of five daughters. Her family is supported by an income of $130 per month, earned jointly by Adela and her father. Adela earns $62 each month as a full-time teacher, and her father has found employment as a night watchman.
Adela attended a five-year vocational high school which provided her with the qualifications to teach young children. She continues to teach kindergarten in the village nursery school during the week to support her family, and she studies all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
A 2001 scholarship recipient, Adela is studying in the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Constanta with a concentration in Geography. In her spare time, Adela enjoys gardening, crafts, and making her own clothes. She strives to incorporate her creativity into both her work and her studies.
