Iosif Sandoru is originally from Lespezi, a small village in the region of Bacau in northeastern Romania. Iosif graduated second in his class from the high school Grupul Scolar Industrial "Henry Coanda" in 1999. He is a student at the University of Alexandra Ioan Cuza in Iasi where he is majoring in Theology and Romanian Literature. During his university course, his family experienced great financial difficulties following the death of his father, and ROADS International awarded him a scholarship to assist him during his final year at university. Following his graduation, Iosif plans to continue his studies in seminary to become a priest. During his free time, Iosif enjoys reading, playing the organ and routinely helps out his family at their farm.
