By far the best Cordless Drill Makita 18V and impact driver available today. I've been using cordless tools for 20 some years and this line by Makita surpasses the best ever offered. I've had really good luck with Bosch in recent years and will stand by those. If I get the longevity they promise then that will be the only remaining variable yet decided. Both the drill and driver will do all you ask, are very light weight, and as comfortable to work with as a tool made specifically for your hand. Anyone griping about battery life needs to rethink things a bit. If you want a battery that lasts you all day and into the night then by all means go get yourself a 192 lb. back pack of a battery that you"ll need wheels to move around. If you are a person within reason then give these drills and drivers serious consideration. The 1.5 hr battery will give you plenty of work without adding weight that no one wants to carry around. Want a lot more run time, spend a few bucks and add a 3.0 hr battery to an already near perfect kit. Anyone that actually uses tools daily would never expect more than this drill and driver will deliver and I have some seriously tough expectations of my tools. I have to, they, in my hands, earn my living. Cordless Drill Makita 18V has a clear winner here!

The Makita Cordless Drill I simply love this product. I am a contractor of 30 years and this is the best battery powered drill kit I've ever owned. Lightweight with incredible power to weight ratio. The impact driver will drive 4 inch screws all day long with no effort and the 15 min quick charge is great when your using both drills. Also with the impact driver you just hold the drill straight no pushing required] and it does all the work. Makita Cordless Drill is lighter than many 18 volt drills and has all the power and versitility most people will ever need. I've used mine hard for many years and it's still running like new. The case looks like an ice chest so I'm not so worried about someone stealing it, they haven't so far.

Best De Walt Cordless
DeWalt Cordless Drill 18-Volt Well balanced and nice weight at 3.8 pounds, it is only 7 ounces heavier than the 18V it replaced (probably 10 years old). Work light is useful. Love the chuck. My old 18V Dewalt was 'grip strength' and I sometimes didn't crank it enough such that it would open if I reversed and there was tension on the bit in the wood. The new models have a ratchet chuck that is easy to tighten.
The Cordless DeWalt Drill 18-Volt cost little more than 2 new batteries for the 18V it replaced and it came with 2 batteries, not a difficult decision to get the 18V. In fact, two 9.6V batteries cost 10% MORE than a new 18V drill WITH 2 batteries. Go figure. The Dewalt chargers are 'interchangeable'. Multiple voltages (7.2 to 18V) and the batteries for the 18V have the same 'plug' configuration as the old 18V so I have 2 batteries AND two chargers.
This drill has only 1 'holder' for screwdriver bits. Not a big deal, but I did like the "one on either side" bit storage on the 18V.
Good DeWalt Cordless Drill, Good price
I have been very pleased with the performance of this unit and especially the fast charging and additional power compared to the Cordless Drill 18-Volt. My first project was a 15 foot red cedar garden bridge I built to cross a small stream – this involved drilling about 20 half-inch holes and screwing in about 400 deck screws. For virtually the entire project I was constantly using this drill and by the time I went through one battery pack the other one was charged and ready to go (so about an hour or more of constant use, which is impressive).
I am looking forward to using the more compact design in tight spots as that had been an issue with my prior drill and the LED light looks useful as well.
A Great Product Cordless Drill
I bought this a few weeks ago at a local store for just south of $100 on sale. It replaced a 18 volt model I have used for 5 years that finally gave up the ghost – in fact to replace with a 18 volt would have been more costly due to the sale so I went with this one.
Great Cordless Drill 18Volt
While I admit that I was a little concerned about the compact design of this Cordless Drill, I was glad to give it a try in light of Amazon's return policy. However, this drill is not going anywhere. Like many other cordless drill owners I got to that place where purchasing replacement batteries was almost as much as purchasing a new drill with two batteries. I used it to for driving some 3.5" framing screws and drywalled a bathroom, laundry room, and small hallway. It has plenty of power and balances well in the hand. The LED light is also a nice enhancement for dark corners in tight workplaces.

Great Dremel Cordless Rotary Tool , excellent price, free shipping. This dremel works great, holds the charge well, and accomplishes many tasks which I've performed with this tool. Highly recommended.
Finally, a cordless rotary tool that holds it charge while being stored. Now I don't have to worry about charging my tool's batteries the night before I need it for a project. And the Lithium Ion batteries are environmentally safe–unlike Nickel Cadmium batteries.
This tool is surprisingly smooth, yet seems as powerful as my old standby corded Dremel Model 395. At 35,000 RPM it is the fastest cordless rotary tool I've seen on the market. I like the sleek, ergonomic design. Based upon my previous experience with Dremel tools, I expect this tool to be trouble free for a long time.

I wish I'd bought one years ago. I've only had it for a month, and I've used it several times. I do wish, however, that I'd bought it at Sears. They sell it for $65.
Edit: When I reported the price at Sears to Amazon, Amazon matched Sears price, lowered their price from $75, and gave me a refund on the difference, accounting for the tax that I would have paid here in Indiana. i.e., Amazon stays up with and ahead of competition. I even got free delivery.
Mine is utilized for robotics projects–it finds a lot of uses with metal. I also bought the press accessory with it. This little accessory helps me make straight cuts and drill holes.I'm telling you, I use this thing constantly and it works like a champ! It is powerful enough for me to cut all my brass and aluminum with the precision of that of a doctor. For as handy as this Dremel Cordless Rotary Tool is–I'd pay twice as much to get one if need be. I've had mine for 5 months too.

I love my new cordless Dremel. Put a diamond drill bit in there and I take it along to bead shows. When I need to adjust a bead hold, Viola! All I need is a cup of water. It also comes in handle cleaning out bead release. To me, it is worth its weight in gold.

After having Makita products in the past, I chose to buy this Milwaukee drill after the Makita Lithium Ion drills had concerns about wobbly chucks and poor batteries. I received the drill and immediately liked it. The weight, size, trigger control, etc. were all fantastic. The best drill I ever handled. So I took my new drill to put up several blinds and thought the new quick change bit set I bought was junk. Everything was wobbling and it was even hard to put in the screws. I went down to the shop and started going through some other bits. Every one of them wobbled. So, I pulled out my old Makita and the wobbling was immediately gone. I was in the middle of a bunch of different projects, so I went to a local store and picked up another Milwaukee. I got it home and the same problem. They both wobble like nothing I've seen before. Beware, others say Makita has wobble problems, but in my case 2 Milwaukee compact drills from two different stores have suffered from wobbly chucks, while I've never seen a Makita with this problem. There's definitely some quality control issues at Milwaukee with these drills.

BUY THIS SET NOW! This Milwaukee drill set is awesome and I have the Makitas too. Not a knock against Makita. Makita success is responsible for the era of micro lithium tools. The last reviewer is not telling you the battery time is great. They are incredible. 92 units of 3 1/2 screws in Trex on one batter.

Great buy on an awesome Milwaukee drill combo kit. I already own a Milwaukee 2601-20 M18 Compact drill and driver. I wanted to get a cordless impact to replace my piece-o-junk Dewalt cordless impact; which I sold to a fellow co-worker because he thinks Dewalt tools are the best thing since sliced bread. Anyway as a Die-Hard Milwaukee fan I was going to get the 18v NiCad version of the Cordless Impact(tool only) to go with my Lok-Tor series cordless hamerdrill/driver. I was in my local Home Depot and I noticed this combo kit for $299. I was hesitant at first because I already had the exact drill but I thought it would not hurt to have 2. After I purchased this kit I had o try it out. The drill was the same as my other one, which is awesome. The impact has to be the best in ts class with 1400 in-lb of torque that beats the Dewalt by 200 in-lbs. I had this drive loosening rusty hardware on an old conduit rack outside, it feels stable in your hands and is so light you can use it overhead for long periods of time. I fastened a shoulder strap to the case nd take the whole kit up extension ladders onto roofs with me, and with the weight of these tools its just like having one NiCad drill with you. A+++ to Milwaukee for designing these 2 great tools.
